Your first clean-up
From a cluttered drive to a shorter one, in four steps.
Add a folder
Press Add folder / drive in the sidebar. Add as many as you like — they can live on different drives. Deduplo reads each drive at its own pace, so one slow disk never holds up the rest.
Press Scan
Scan for duplicates reads every file once and works out which ones match. You can Pause or Stop at any point without losing what has been found.
Review the sets
Each card is one set of duplicates. The copy Deduplo suggests keeping carries a KEEP badge. Nothing is ticked for removal until you tick it.
Clean
Tick the copies you do not want and press Delete. Everything goes to the Recycle Bin, and every batch can be undone.
The Cleanup wizard on the opening screen walks you through the same four steps and chooses sensible settings for you.
The second scan is much faster
Deduplo remembers what it learned about every file. Scan the same library again and it only looks at what actually changed — new files, edited files, moved files. On a large library the difference is minutes against seconds.
If you ever want a genuinely fresh start, Toolbox ▸ Scan from scratch, ignore the cache throws that memory away and reads everything again.
What Deduplo looks at
Tick what to scan in the Scan setup window — photos, videos, audio, documents, or every other file type; the Scan button stays greyed until at least one kind is ticked. The extra kinds are matched by content, so identical copies are found whatever they are called.

Your photos and files are read on your computer and never uploaded. Deduplo connects to the internet only to activate and check your licence — nothing else, and never a file.
